Virgo Partial Solar Eclipse & Libra Equinox: Prioritizing the Right Things
by Leslie TagordaNew Moon Virgo Partial Solar Eclipse – 29º | 12:54p Pacific

This final eclipse of the season is a Partial Solar Eclipse—a New Moon where the Earth, Moon, and Sun align. It’s the second Virgo New Moon this year, and it arrived just hours before the Libra Equinox, on September 21, calling us back into balance.
Eclipses are quantum leaps—cosmic wild cards—that take you straight to point Z without needing to pass through B to Y. Whether or not you were expecting Z, trust that it’s part of your life journey. And even if this landing place feels uncomfortable, the invitation is to notice the blessings here.
- This particular eclipse season has been especially shaped by Saturn.
- A few weeks ago, the Pisces Lunar Eclipse opened conjunct Saturn.
- Now, this Virgo Solar Eclipse at the final degree sits directly across from Saturn.
So what does Saturn have to do with the leaps we’re making?
Saturn is the process of doubt to mastery, scatter to focus, uncommitted to priority.
For me, Saturn’s Virgo prescription (medicine!) has been loud and clear as I navigate these eclipse surprises.
💥 Starting with the Pisces Lunar Eclipse, I ended up needing an emergency root canal and painful bone graft. Then I found a lump on my thyroid—I’m scheduled for a biopsy next week. Honestly, finding the blessing has been hard.
But here’s what I’m holding:
- I’m deeply fortunate to live where I have access to modern medical and dental care, and my doctors are confident everything is treatable.
- Saturn is asking me: Am I prioritizing the right things?
And maybe you’re asking yourself the same.
If you’re here, you’re likely purpose-led, visionary, ambitious—committed to leading and doing your best work. Same here. ✋🏽 Functioning workaholic, ambition junkie on a path to recovery.
But I can see clearly now: I’ve been doing it wrong.
Work has been intense (in a good way)—prepping for my book launch, opening the second cohort of the AstroBrand® Certification, launching client websites, weaving brand narratives.
But it’s been too much and it pulled me away from my true priorities:
- Joy & Creativity
- Wellness
- Friends & Loved Ones
Here’s the truth: bills must be paid, necessities must be met—but Work, purpose, ambition, accolades… they do not matter if joy, health, and love aren’t present. Even if you adore what you do.
✨ Without play, joy, and creativity—you’re not creating from your heart.
✨ Without health, balance, and care for body, mind, and spirit—you have nothing.
✨ Without loved ones—gatherings, dance parties (I’m terrified of dancing, but I’m doing it anyway!), people who see and value you—you have no true safety net.
So while this eclipse season has been uncomfortable for me, I know the lesson is to re-prioritize my bliss (Saturn Rx in Pisces), nurture my wholeness (Virgo Solar Eclipse), and restore balance and connection (Libra Equinox).
The cosmos is always inviting us inward (personal transits) and outward (collective energy). My hope is you hear this invitation too—to discern your own medicine and prescription for these times.
What do joy, wellness, and loved ones mean for you?
And how can you shift your daily life to prioritize them, starting now?
With love and gratitude—thank you for being here, for witnessing my journey, and for all you do to make this world more just and whole.
Have a blessed Eclipse and Equinox.
