New Moon in Sagittarius – Seeing the Big Picture

I love the Sagittarius New Moon – always right around American Thanksgiving. Now, American Thanksgiving, is strife with colonialism but if we can reclaim the original meaning of showing gratitude for all our blessings, seen and unseen, it can be a powerful shift in not only raising your vibration, but also raising your perspective.

Gratitude is such a Sagittarius theme…

• Appreciation

• Birds-eye view

Sagittarius allows us to see that detours, challenges, mistakes, are not things to believe that wasted our time or resources, but instead a gift filled with lessons, learnings and wisdom.

Sagittarius lifts our perspective from ground level stuck-in-the-muck to eagle eye high-in-the-sky observation that can see the big picture.

The key to this leveling up is GRATITUDE.

The power of gratitude

Hear me out if you think that gratitude is a copout. Gratitude is an attitude that is scientifically proven to shift scarcity, negativity, resentment, and envy into abundance, positivity, wellbeing and appreciation.

Gratitude is also a practice, a muscle you can build. And when you practice this by seeing the silver linings in all situations, this starts to flow freely from deep within. You begin to feel this wellspring bubble forth and the more you feel, the more you radiate that energy to others and it goes forth.

Yes, yes, yes, I hear some of you calling BS. Because me too, I’ve been in the deep doldrums lately and I’ve been doing my best to practice gratitude.

To inquire:

• What I am I meant to learn from my current mental unwellness? (That I haven’t been prioritizing joy and fun)
• What haven’t I been sharing that is keeping me overwhelmed and short tempered? (Well, I have been sharing but my needs haven’t been met)
• How can I get my needs met? (Sharing with others that care and considering the next steps in my relationship, if this is truly making me feel safe and loved)
• Above I shared my current thought journey to try to see it from a higher perspective so I don’t get bogged down by all the overwhelm I’ve been feeling lately.

Maybe this thought process can help you.

But what it has given me is gratitude. Gratitude that I now see I have a way out, gratitude that I have a loving community of friends and family, and gratitude that many of my needs are already met.

• 3 things I am grateful for today
• 3 things I added value to the world

This is a great daily gratitude practice.
